Women On Our Way (WOOW) is a London-based community for women rethinking what they want from work, whether that means a career change, return to work, starting and growing a business or simply figuring out what's next. Here, you build the self-knowledge to progress on your own terms, with other women doing the same.

WHAT WOOW IS

Next group starts 29 September

Most career advice assumes you already know what you're aiming for. Plenty of women don't, and that's the part WOOW takes seriously. WOOW starts with the question, and stays with you while you answer it.

WHY WOOW EXISTS

Next group starts 29 September

What we believe

We want more women making decisions they can stand behind, built on their own judgement rather than someone else's expectations of them. That's the future we're working toward, and it starts in rooms like this one.

Follow your compass

We believe you already have the answer. You followed the playbook, did everything right and still ended up asking, ‘is this it?’ The real work is learning to read your own compass instead of following someone else's map.

Make it a practice

We believe self-knowledge is a practice, not a lightbulb moment. You build it slowly, return to it often and never quite finish it, and it goes better with structure around you and women in it with you.

Design life-first

We believe work is one part of a bigger picture: who you are, how you want to live and what you want your life to hold. We start from the full picture and design a working life that fits it, because the career should fit the life, not the other way around.

How WOOW works

MEET THE TEAM

Lyna spent nearly ten years in finance, from Big Four consulting to FMCG leadership. She joined forces with Sade to help other women while building her own career, and she loves seeing them gain confidence and figure out what's next.

Lyna's strength is execution, turning an idea into something tangible. She owns the processes and the hundred small details that make every member feel considered.

Sade and Lyna run WOOW day to day, but the community shows up, too. Members help host events, welcome new faces and pitch in behind the scenes. If you want in, whether you're building a skill or just want to be useful, reach out.

Sade spent nearly a decade at a global engineering and design firm, most recently leading culture change work around sustainability. She'd built the career on paper, the credentials, the title, the progression, and still couldn't shake the same question so many WOOW women ask: is this it?

In early 2024, she left, and WOOW blossomed out of what came next: a handful of honest conversations that grew into a room, then a community of 1,500+ women. Sade has a knack for remembering exactly what everyone's working through, and putting the right two women in touch at exactly the right moment.

FAQs

WOOW is for women rethinking what they want from work, whether that means a career change, starting something of your own or figuring out what's next. The question doesn't always start at work: sometimes it's a health scare, a move abroad or a life that's shifted enough to raise it.

A coach or therapist works with you one-to-one. WOOW is about working through it with other women rather than on your own, through your accountability pod, your one-to-one connections and the members' hour, where someone often asks the question you hadn't thought to ask. If you do want one-to-one support, a vetted coach shortlist is included in your membership.

Most career communities for women expect you to already know what you want from work and who you are in it: a founder, a leader, someone with a title that says where she's headed. WOOW meets you earlier, while you're still building the self-knowledge to figure that out. You get structured programmes, small accountability pods and in-person events, with other women working through the same thing.

Every month. You can find details about everything upcoming on our Events page. Members get 50% off every career event plus a monthly members' online session and free access to Clubhouse and Coworking days.

We're always open to coaches, specialists and practitioners who want to lead a session, and members regularly co-host gatherings. Tell us what you'd want to run and who it's for: email hello@womenonourway.com.

Coaches and specialists can apply to join our directory here. Everyone in our directory is vetted before joining, and members are matched to coaches based on what they're working through.

Yes! We partner with brands that add something real to our members' lives, from beauty and wellness to style, travel and experiences. For partnerships, sponsorship or press, email partnerships@womenonourway.com.

Yes, WOOW is intentionally a women-only space.

WOOW was founded by Sade Akindele in 2024, after leaving a decade-long corporate career with the same 'is this it?' question the community is built around. She runs it in partnership with Lyna Golovachova.
